OSOS Libya organized
the Digital Transformation Forum at the Mahari Hotel in Tripoli, with
the participation of the Ministries of Economy, Local Governance, and Interior,
alongside telecommunications companies such as Almadar Aljadid and Libyana,
oil companies including Sidra and Mabrouk, and global technology
leaders Huawei and Microsoft Germany.
The
Ministry of Economy emphasized the importance of digital transformation in
supporting economic policies and diversifying income sources, while the
Ministry of Local Governance discussed the role of digitization in improving
municipal services and enhancing transparency. The Ministry of Interior
highlighted the significance of technology in strengthening security and public
services.
Telecommunications
companies such as Almadar and Libyana presented their plans to expand 4G and 5G
networks, which form the essential infrastructure for digital transformation.
Oil companies addressed the applications of artificial intelligence in optimizing
production and resource management, a global trend already adopted by companies
like Schlumberger.
The
participation of Huawei and Microsoft added an international dimension, as they
showcased advanced solutions in cybersecurity and cloud computing. The forum
thus embodied a strategic platform that brought together government policies
and international expertise to accelerate Libya’s journey toward a digital
economy
